Testing At-Home Phlebotomy Order Lifecycles in Sandbox
Last updated: February 18, 2025
When testing at-home phlebotomy orders in the sandbox environment, follow these steps to successfully simulate the complete order lifecycle:
Prerequisites
Use the following test address for all sandbox at-home phlebotomy orders:
West Lincoln Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004, USAHave access to both a phone number (for SMS) and email address for testing
Steps to Test Order Lifecycle
Create a new at-home phlebotomy order either through the dashboard or via the API
Once the order is created, you will receive both an SMS and email with a scheduling link
Click the scheduling link and verify your identity using the SMS code
Complete the appointment scheduling process
Return to the order in the Vital dashboard
Click the menu on the right side of the order
Select "Test Order Lifecycle" to progress through the remaining order statuses
Important Notes
The order cannot progress past the "requisition-created" status until an appointment has been scheduled
Each test patient can only have one active appointment at a time
If you need to run multiple tests for the same patient, cancel any existing appointments before creating new ones
Unlike test kit orders, at-home phlebotomy orders require appointment scheduling before the lifecycle simulation can continue.
