The experience helps patients successfully complete their collection by providing step-by-step instructions, educational content, collection validation, and post-collection status visibility.

By guiding patients through the collection process and reinforcing critical instructions, the experience is designed to reduce common collection errors that lead to failed samples, replacement kits, redraws, and support requests.

Availability

The Test Kit Patient Experience is currently available for ADX TRT test kits.

Additional test kit modalities may be supported in the future.

Why this exists

At-home testing often fails because patients:

  • collect too little blood

  • skip important preparation steps

  • forget to label collection cards

  • return kits incorrectly

  • misunderstand collection instructions

These mistakes can lead to:

  • delayed results

  • failed samples

  • replacement kits

  • additional support burden

  • lower program completion rates

The Test Kit Patient Experience is designed to reduce these failure modes through guided patient education and collection support.

What patients experience

Patients are guided through a structured collection workflow that includes:

Pre-collection readiness

Before beginning collection, patients confirm:

  • they have their full kit

  • they have recently hydrated

  • they can return the sample promptly

  • they meet any collection prerequisites

This helps prevent collection attempts under poor conditions.

Collection card labeling

Patients are instructed to complete all required information before collecting:

  • full name

  • date of birth

  • collection date

The experience reinforces that missing or incorrect information can delay processing.

Guided collection training

Patients receive instructions for:

  • drying the sample

  • packaging the kit

  • sealing return materials

The experience reinforces that faster returns generally lead to faster results.
